Saskatchewan Forestry Centre

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

There is no more perfect structural material to use in a Forestry Centre than wood, and glulam fit the bill for structural and design considerations. This structure was originally designed for Parallam, but Western Archrib redesigned to project, converting it to glulam and providing a significant cost savings to the client. The building’s atrium is spanned by a hybrid truss of glulam and steel tension members – much lighter than an all steel system.

  • Flexible cost efficient alternative to other structural materials
  • Design and installation supported by in-house engineering staff
  • Cut, machined and finished at the manufacturing plant to speed installation.
